About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee physical security, shrink reduction programs, and established safety standards to mitigate inventory loss.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly loss prevention metrics and reports.
- Lead the site’s Safety Committee and serve as the primary contact for governmental or outside safety inspections.
- Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations using the 5 Why system, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage security staff and coordinate physical security programs, including CCTV monitoring.
- Identify hazardous conditions and implement controls to reduce associate exposure to unsafe conditions.
- Partner with Human Resources to manage workers’ compensation claims.
- Facilitate training for associates on OSHA required topics and company safety SOPs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, industrial safety, or a related field, or a minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours per day and walk up to 10 miles per day in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Wicklander-Zulawski certification.
- LPQ/LPC certification.
- Experience in Industrial Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
