Long-Term Power Researcher

Responsibilities

• Research future generation and transmission capacity developments across European markets, including new builds, refurbishments, and network expansion
• Develop and maintain structured assumptions on technology buildouts, disruptions, and saturation hypotheses
• Support mid/long-term fundamental modelling through documented research inputs and scenario development
• Track market, infrastructure, and project-pipeline developments to assess their impact on power market fundamentals
• Contribute to asset valuation, strategic analytics, and longer-term scenario work
• Cooperate closely with long-term analysts, traders, and data engineers

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in power market analysis, strategy, or research within the energy/commodities sector
• Strong understanding of European power markets, generation technologies, and transmission infrastructure
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong research, analytical, and synthesis skills
• Ability to translate qualitative market developments into quantitative modelling inputs
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Proficiency in Python and SQL is preferred
