About the role
Responsibilities
- Research future generation and transmission capacity developments across European markets, including new builds, refurbishments, and network expansion
- Develop and maintain structured assumptions on technology buildouts, disruptions, and saturation hypotheses
- Support mid/long-term fundamental modelling through documented research inputs and scenario development
- Track market, infrastructure, and project-pipeline developments to assess their impact on power market fundamentals
- Contribute to asset valuation, strategic analytics, and longer-term scenario work
- Cooperate closely with long-term analysts, traders, and data engineers
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in power market analysis, strategy, or research within the energy/commodities sector
- Strong understanding of European power markets, generation technologies, and transmission infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong research, analytical, and synthesis skills
- Ability to translate qualitative market developments into quantitative modelling inputs
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proficiency in Python and SQL is preferred
