Logs & Records Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage and sustain aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records, and maintenance files in accordance with aviation regulations.
• Utilize management information systems to maintain aircraft forms and records.
• Draft and submit aircraft/engine management and inventory reporting system reports.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and yearly reports as assigned.
• Process readiness documents and administer aircraft configuration status accounting programs.
• Monitor aircraft configuration status, weight and balance, and aircraft inventory data for accuracy.
• Perform data entry and administrative support in systems such as OOMA, FAME, IMDS, CETADS, and CEMS.
• Comply with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste, and Tool Control Programs.

Requirements

• Two years of aviation clerical experience maintaining aircraft logbooks and service records.
• Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces Logs and Records courses or equivalent training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work all assigned shifts and schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with US Navy or FAA aircraft logbooks and documentation.
• Experience with specific aircraft models including F/A-18, EA-18G, E-2C, F-16, or MH-60S.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and typing speed of at least 35 WPM.
• Knowledge of NALCOMIS, OOMA, FAME, IMDS, CETADS, or CEMS.
• Certifications in Weight and Balance, Hazardous Waste Communications, or Operational Risk Management (ORM).
