Logistics Transportation Planner

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and optimize brokered truckload shipments for inbound and outbound freight
• Negotiate and manage relationships with freight brokers and carriers to secure competitive rates
• Analyze opportunities to consolidate shipments and optimize truckload utilization
• Monitor freight to ensure successful delivery within customer service requirements
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to truckload efficiency, cost, and service
• Work with cross-functional teams including warehousing and procurement
• Research and analyze market trends in the truckload freight industry
• Resolve issues related to brokered truckload shipments including delays and damages

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Distribution, Operations, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain
• Experience in logistics operations or analysis with a focus on truckload freight
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage complex projects
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
