About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the 3rd shift team by providing direction, motivation, training, and coaching to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Oversee daily production and maintenance activities for Barge Dock, Tank Farm, and Rail operations.
- Manage shift performance, downtime issues, and root cause analysis for incidents.
- Coordinate with the Quincy Marketing team to manage the loading and offloading of barges and meal trucks.
- Ensure compliance with human safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Schedule team members, including vacation time and cross-training, to maintain site efficiency.
- Serve as the person in charge during the shift, providing technical guidance and operational direction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental math, reading, and writing skills.
- Ability to work the 3rd shift (Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) with occasional weekends and overtime.
- Physical ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and access elevated platforms.
- Ability to swim and work on barge surfaces over water.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods in various climates and noisy environments.
- Must be respirator qualified.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
