Logistics Specialist (In-Transit Visibility)

Responsibilities

• Track the identity, status, and location of cargo, equipment, personnel, or other assets in transit
• Provide real-time updates to stakeholders regarding shipment status, delays, and exceptions
• Review, validate, and manage transportation documentation and movement records
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, delayed updates, or interface issues between logistics systems
• Support deployment, redeployment, and sustainment mission-critical transportation activities
• Use logistics systems to query, analyze, and report movement data
• Aggregate visibility data from multiple sources to support operational planning and decision-making
• Coordinate with carriers, transportation providers, and internal teams to maintain shipment visibility

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business, or a related field
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• 4+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, movement control, or supply chain operations
• Experience using in-transit visibility systems such as SMS, GATES, ISDDC, or JOPES
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting military, government, or large-scale commercial logistics operations
• Experience in multimodal transportation environments (air, sea, land, or intermodal freight)
• Prior work supporting deployment, redeployment, or contingency operations
• Experience with dashboarding, business intelligence, or logistics analytics tools
