About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage international logistics activities, including import/export compliance, customs clearance, and freight forwarding for global locations.
  • Prepare and process all required documentation for domestic and international shipments, including manifests, packing lists, letters of credit, and import licenses.
  • Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, network planning, and 3PL warehouse management.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Supply teams, and global stakeholders to expedite supplies and meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and drive informed decision-making to optimize logistics efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategic logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute complex logistics projects from inception to completion.
  • Maintain accountability for logistics spend and productivity to optimize costs while maintaining high service levels.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of professional experience in Global Logistics, Global Transportation, and Trade Compliance within a global environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operational Research, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience managing 3PL warehouses and international logistics across all modes of transportation.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Strong knowledge of Import/Export compliance and documentation processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage complex, detail-oriented processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Specific exposure to international trade within the Middle East and India.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS, SCM Pro, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience with Freight audit and pay tools.
