Responsibilities
- Negotiate competitive market rates with potential carriers
- Vet all tendered carriers in alignment with company standards
- Cover broken-down and spot market (Adhoc) shipments during the night shift
- Assist with high-level issue resolution escalated from Night Operations Representatives
- Track and trace current shipments within the network
- Maintain relationships with drivers and provide support as needed
- Provide timely and accurate communication to all customers
- Update delivery windows in Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Escalate concerns, delays, and loss failures to the appropriate chain of command
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in the transportation industry preferred
- Proficient communication skills including professional business writing
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- High-level grit and ability to manage issues in high-stress situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
- Ability to complete 6 weeks of required day-shift training
