Logistics Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage logistics staff, including warehouse, coordinators, and support personnel
• Train staff on company policies, safety procedures, and logistics operations
• Monitor day-to-day activities including shipment coordination, receiving, storing, and shipping
• Analyze logistics process efficiency and implement improvements to reduce turnaround time
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records and perform regular physical stock checks
• Ensure stock rotation principles like FIFO and FEFO are followed
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and liaise with 3PL providers and freight forwarders
• Plan efficient transportation routes to minimize costs
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and inventory turnover
• Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding transportation, storage, and hazardous materials
• Manage required documentation including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and regulatory forms
• Utilize in-house systems for the full business flow cycle

Requirements

• Experience in logistics operations and supply chain management
• Ability to lead and manage a diverse team
• Knowledge of inventory management and stock rotation principles
• Experience coordinating with third-party logistics providers and carriers
• Proficiency in managing shipping documentation and regulatory compliance
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve logistical issues and discrepancies
