Logistics Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop short and long-term logistics strategies to support customer requirements
• Plan and coordinate the shipment of goods, considering transit times, costs, and legal requirements
• Manage shipping documentation and customs paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support the implementation and rollout of transportation management systems
• Identify and implement new carriers and lanes to reduce costs and improve delivery quality
• Resolve logistical issues such as shipping delays, damaged goods, and claim management
• Monitor shipments in transit and provide regular status updates

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar logistics role
• Proven experience within the automotive industry
• Strong understanding of domestic and international carrier business
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately every few months
• Ability to support multiple plant locations as necessary

• Experience working with SAP
