Logistics Officer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Science Store operational services, including manned delivery point services and distribution of received deliveries
• Manage stock levels and supply scientific and technical goods to relevant clients
• Arrange transportation of items between campuses and to external parties
• Support the appropriate storage of chemicals and chemical waste
• Interact with academic staff, corporate services, and external suppliers to ensure efficient service delivery

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in retail and/or warehousing
• Current Class C driver's licence (manual preferred)
• Forklift licence (the University can assist in obtaining this if you do not currently hold one)
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience using databases or inventory management software
• Ability to perform significant manual handling tasks
• Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach
