About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach a team of material handlers and logistics associates
  • Design and deliver onboarding and ongoing training programs for logistics team members
  • Maintain and update training material, SOPs, and visual aids
  • Utilize ERP/WMS systems to track inventory movement and generate reports
  • Implement and sustain lean logistics practices including kanban, milk runs, and tugger routes
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and quality teams to ensure material availability
  • Resolve material shortages, discrepancies, and delivery issues proactively
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Generate reports on KPIs such as inventory levels, replenishment times, and productivity
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors regarding inbound/outbound logistics and quality standards

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management within the automotive manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams in a fast-paced OEM environment
  • Experience with inventory management and accurate record-keeping
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma
  • Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience)
  • Proficiency with WMS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, Lean)
