Logistics Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performance logistics team to ensure operational excellence
• Manage end-to-end international inbound logistics, including ocean and air freight bookings and tracking
• Oversee U.S. domestic transportation for inbound materials and outbound finished solar modules via OTR, LTL, and FTL
• Negotiate competitive rates and service agreements with freight carriers, forwarders, and 3PL providers
• Collaborate with customs compliance teams to ensure proper documentation and adherence to import/export regulations
• Monitor carrier performance and KPIs such as on-time delivery, transit times, and freight costs
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce costs and enhance supply chain resilience

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or freight management
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (solar, renewable energy, or industrial preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, data analysis)
• Strong understanding of international freight terms (FOB, CIF, DDP, EXW) and U.S. customs clearance processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting U.S.-based manufacturing with significant imported component volumes
• Experience in startup, high-growth, or rapidly scaling manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with Lean principles and process optimization
• Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
