Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Partner with material planners and buyers to create and update transportation plans
• Manage a panel of carriers for ocean, air, ground, and parcel needs
• Ensure supplier documentation is complete and compliant with regulations
• Book and track shipments from pickup to delivery
• Handle claims for lost, damaged, or late shipments
• Escalate transportation delays impacting production
• Identify opportunities to reduce freight spend and manage logistics KPIs
• Manage carrier performance using KPIs like OTIF and detention fees
• Issue RFQs and RFPs for transport lanes and project cargo
• Oversee outbound shipments including samples, RMAs, and finished vehicles

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in logistics
• Minimum 1 year of international logistics experience
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup formulas)
• Mandatory knowledge of Incoterms
• Basic understanding of US CBP import processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat experience or certification
• Vehicle shipping experience
• Prior carrier work experience
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite
• Experience with a TMS
• Fluency in Spanish or Chinese Mandarin
