Logistics Automation Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to manufacturing and related functions to improve automation processes
• Lead manufacturing process improvement methods for products, facilities, fixtures, and equipment
• Design, implement, and review manufacturing procedures and equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve major production KPIs
• Brainstorm and present new automation ideas and realizations
• Assist in designing autonomous material call systems using AGV technology and systems
• Improve AGV delivery efficiency and assist in hardware/software design
• Create comprehensive preventative maintenance plans for AGVs via programming or Excel

Requirements

• Rising or junior pursuing a four-year degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field
• Completion of relevant engineering coursework
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, or Autodesk Inventor
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work or internship experience in an engineering field
