Responsibilities

• Facilitate the timely dispatch of goods to international and EU/UK destinations
• Create trade documents including commercial invoices and ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Secure export and import permits and licenses
• Declare consignments to freight forwarders and provide necessary paperwork
• Coordinate customs clearance and manage duty and tax payments
• Collate dispatch notes to ensure precise shipment to global customers
• Adhere to company document retention guidelines
• Verify freight accounts to confirm correct charges from forwarders and agents

Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience in import and export logistics
• Secondary or higher education qualifications
• Working knowledge of Incoterms
• Ability to research and analyse compliance issues
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in handling US/EU Export Controlled information
• Minimum of three years' experience in import and export compliance
• Experience in assigning commodity codes for products
