Logistics Assistant

Responsibilities

• Purchase commodities, supplies, and equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Manage inventory levels across multiple facilities, including rotating stock and determining reorder points
• Receive and verify deliveries and maintain accurate records to facilitate audits
• Drive a delivery truck to distribute equipment and supplies to various facilities
• Maintain up-to-date databases for tracking supplies, equipment, and invoices using specialized software
• Coordinate with vendors and business associates to manage orders and inquiries
• Assist with property disposal, inventory control, and the preparation of financial reports
• Perform moderate to occasionally heavy lifting as required for warehouse and logistics tasks

Requirements

• Two years of general office experience, with at least one year directly related to logistics or similar work
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based programs
• Ability to obtain a forklift operator's certification
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and drive a truck in all-season weather
