Logistics Assistant

Responsibilities

• Prepare packaging for outgoing shipments and ensure proper protection of goods
• Maintain accurate receiving records for company supplies and client inventory
• Perform data entry and inventory control for samples, including scanning pallets and bins
• Load and unload pallets using a forklift
• Deliver incoming shipments to proper departments and perform local pickups/deliveries as needed
• Organize and log packing slips into the ERP system (Oracle)
• Assist with the storage, disposal, and return of samples to clients
• Maintain vehicle inspection logs and observe all health and safety policies

Requirements

• Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driving history
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of computer applications and English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in logistics and transportation
• Forklift license and experience operating a forklift
• 1 year of previous shipping and receiving experience
