Logistics and Transport Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize international and domestic transport of materials and equipment for Energy, Oil & Gas, and Infrastructure projects
• Research domestic and international markets for road, air, and multimodal transport carriers
• Research the shipping market via brokers, agents, or directly with shipowners and shipping lines
• Request and evaluate quotes and prepare comparative analysis tables
• Perform risk analysis for cargo and transport modes
• Negotiate with carriers and handle charter party agreements and bookings
• Consolidate transport needs by country in collaboration with project management to seek frame agreements
• Monitor transport execution, collect, check, and manage shipping documents
• Monitor import customs clearance and unloading inspections

Requirements

• Degree in Logistics and Transport
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a transport/shipping company or a similar role in a large corporation
• Practical professional experience in the international carrier market, specifically in international maritime transport
• Knowledge of Charter Party Law and transport assignments (preferred)
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS (preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Very good command of English, specifically technical terminology
