Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming stock including materials, consumables, and equipment
• Pick stock accurately based on order requests ensuring correct product and batch information
• Maintain organized inventory systems and update stock levels using warehouse systems
• Pack goods safely following guidelines for fragile, hazardous, or temperature-controlled materials
• Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies
• Deliver goods to multiple buildings across the institute via scheduled or ad hoc routes
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and efficiently organized
• Follow HSE procedures and protocols including PPE use and handling of hazardous goods

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control role
• Familiarity with inventory systems and warehouse processes
• Basic understanding of stock handling for sensitive or regulated materials
• Ability to follow protocols and maintain accurate records
• Full clean UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a lab, research, or healthcare logistics environment
• Experience with ERP/WMS software such as SAP or NetSuite
• Knowledge of hazardous material handling and cold chain logistics
• Forklift or pallet truck certification
