Logistic Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all activities related to the transfer of equipment and commodities from manufacture to construction site or module yard
• Provide freight cost estimates to support estimate development and bid comparison
• Participate in project execution planning to develop economical logistics approaches
• Evaluate supplier transportation approaches for commercial or schedule impact
• Develop traffic instructions in coordination with Freight Forwarding Agencies
• Prepare Project Routing Guides for routine and LTL shipments
• Provide shipping durations to scheduling for planned modes of transportation
• Communicate with transportation regulatory agencies and service providers
• Prepare scope of work for RFP/RFQ for transportation and logistics services
• Plan for heavy duty rail car and motor vehicle equipment
• Negotiate and execute agreements for specialized carrier services
• Provide on-site support for special movements and handling
• Process loss, damage, and overcharge claims with carriers
• Arrange customs clearance and unloading of materials and equipment
• Coordinate transport of imported materials to construction sites

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in a logistics role within the oil & gas or energy sector
• Proven experience managing logistics with International Freight Forwarding Agencies
• Proficiency in English
