Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack incoming samples, verifying contents against documentation
• Log sample information accurately into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Assign unique identification numbers and label samples correctly
• Prepare samples for analytical departments through sorting, aliquoting, and distribution
• Adhere to all quality and safety standards regarding sample handling and storage
• Communicate with internal departments regarding sample status or discrepancies
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with laboratory supply inventory

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 20 lbs
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laboratory or data entry role
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
