About the role
Responsibilities
- Process incoming samples into the analysis stream, including reception, verification, and data entry
- Coordinate day-to-day sample reception activities and act as a primary point of contact for lab staff and Account Managers
- Manage incoming work priorities based on holding times and rush turnaround requirements
- Receive samples, record temperatures/conditions, and complete required paperwork
- Label samples and distribute them to appropriate locations
- Enter client information, sample identification, and analysis requirements into laboratory data systems
- Ensure compliance with all ALS health, safety, and analytical quality procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a fast-paced production or preparation environment
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) on a regular basis
- Ability to stand for a full shift and work varied shifts, including days, afternoons, graveyards, and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of high school science courses or basic laboratory safety
- Previous experience working with chemicals or in a laboratory setting
