LOG Yearbook Staff Photographer

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the LOG Yearbook Photographer Editor and staff to source photographs for the annual 172-page yearbook
• Cover approximately 11-12 stories per semester, including campus events and headshots
• Provide accurate metadata for all submissions, including correctly spelled names, year in school, and descriptive captions
• Digitally manage and organize photo assets within the computer file system
• Actively solicit photo submissions from campus individuals and groups
• Attend weekly staff meetings (1-2 times per week)

Requirements

• Previous photography experience
• Access to a digital DSLR camera
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop and/or Lightroom
• Creative, self-motivated, and organized mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Past experience working with a yearbook or student newspaper
• Interest in or experience with student journalism

• Approximately 5 hours of work per week from late January through May
