About the role
Responsibilities
- Design 11-12 yearbook spreads per semester using Adobe InDesign
- Collaborate with the Design Editor to establish and follow the style guide and master book file
- Ensure design consistency during pre-submission deadline sessions
- Execute redesigns in a timely manner following requests from the Design Editor or Editor-in-Chief
- Participate in weekly team meetings (1-2 times per week)
- Work collaboratively with the design team from the brainstorming stage through to final publication
Requirements
- Creative, self-motivated, and organized individual
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, with proficiency in InDesign
- Interest in graphic design or student journalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Past experience working with a yearbook or student newspaper
