LOG Yearbook Design Editor

Responsibilities

• Oversee yearbook design, including all spreads, the cover, senior tribute ads, senior photos, and the index
• Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief, Photography Editor, and Copy Editor to execute the 172-page yearbook
• Manage and delegate tasks to two staff designers
• Create a style guide and master book file to ensure design consistency
• Edit and proof all spreads, including photos and copy
• Contribute directly to the yearbook by designing 12-16 spreads per semester
• Attend all editorial and staff meetings twice per week

Requirements

• Creative, self-motivated, and highly organized
• Interest and/or experience in graphic design or student journalism
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, with proficiency in InDesign
• Strong organizational and self-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with a yearbook or newspaper
• Past experience with the LOG yearbook
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing for the 2025–2026 school year
