Locum Vascular Scientist

Responsibilities

• Conduct vascular assessments including duplex ultrasound scans of carotid arteries, peripheral arteries, and veins
• Engage with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort
• Meticulously record test results and collaborate with vascular surgeons to interpret findings
• Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment
• Adhere to clinical protocols and participate in quality assurance activities
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff
• Manage inventory and supplies for the vascular lab
• Contribute to departmental policies and research projects

Requirements

• Degree in Vascular Science or a related field
• HCPC registration
• Extensive experience in vascular diagnostics
• Proficiency in duplex ultrasound scans
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in quality assurance and clinical audit processes
• Knowledge of clinical health and safety regulations
