Locum Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to patients under the supervision of qualified therapists
• Assist in the delivery of therapy interventions to promote independence and recovery
• Assist with mobility support, therapeutic exercises, and daily living activities
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Assist with equipment setup
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
• Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within acute medicine or therapy services
• Ability to assist in therapy interventions under supervision
• Good understanding of patient care and rehabilitation techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an acute medical or hospital setting
