Locum Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified therapists in delivering therapy interventions to acute NHS inpatients
• Support patient assessments and monitor progress under guidance
• Assist patients with rehabilitation exercises, mobility training, and daily living activities
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress
• Prepare therapy equipment and materials
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment that maintains patient comfort and dignity

Requirements

• Experience working with acute NHS inpatients (respiratory and surgical care)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Patient-centered approach to care
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to follow instructions accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a therapy assistant or in a similar role
