Locum Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of elderly patients with various multipathologies and dependencies
• Attend handovers and prioritize daily tasks
• Complete frail elderly assessments and carry out interventions
• Lead discharge planning in response to estimated discharge dates
• Identify and issue necessary equipment
• Work closely with Occupational Therapy and the multidisciplinary team
• Delegate tasks to assistants and make referrals to community services
• Liaise with carers and families

Requirements

• Previous NHS experience
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Previous community experience
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
