Locum Haematology Biomedical Scientist

Responsibilities

• Process and analyse a wide range of haematology samples, including full blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film morphology
• Operate automated analysers and perform manual techniques
• Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols
• Work closely with clinical and laboratory teams to ensure efficient service delivery and accurate reporting

Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
• BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Relevant experience in diagnostic haematology
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and automated platforms
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to clinical governance and continuous professional development
