Locum DHA Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, thyroid, neck, and liver ultrasound
• Conduct liver elastography and FibroTouch/liver stiffness assessments
• Perform vascular Doppler studies (carotid, peripheral, venous) and small parts imaging
• Ensure accurate image acquisition, proper patient positioning, and clear documentation of findings
• Upload images and technical data into EMR/PACS systems in a timely manner
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary physicians (Radiology, Endocrinology, Cardiology) to support diagnostic decisions
• Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and privacy in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations
• Ensure ultrasound equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operated safely following infection control standards

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
• Valid professional license from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) as a Sonographer
• Minimum 2–4 years of clinical ultrasound experience
• Strong expertise in abdominal and thyroid ultrasound imaging

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in liver elastography and/or FibroTouch
• Experience in vascular Doppler studies
• Previous experience working in specialty clinics such as endocrinology, metabolic health, or cardiology
• Experience working within integrated or multidisciplinary healthcare settings
