About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide brief assessments, short-term counselling interventions, and appropriate referrals for students and staff
- Identify, assess, and manage clients at high risk by developing collaborative risk management and safety plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with legislation, policies, and CAPS guidelines
- Deliver both in-person and telehealth services using digital platforms including Microsoft 365 and Zoom
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer review, and professional development to maintain high-quality practice
Requirements
- Full, current AHPRA psychologist registration or AASW mental health social worker accreditation
- Relevant postgraduate training in a clinical field
- Demonstrated experience in providing brief assessments and short-term counselling
- Strong capability in risk assessment and managing complex mental health or developmental presentations
- Proficiency with digital practice systems, including Microsoft 365 and electronic case management tools
- Ability to maintain a valid Working with Children Check
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical or counselling endorsement
- Proficiency in delivering counselling in languages other than English
