About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide brief assessments, short-term counselling interventions, and appropriate referrals for students and staff
  • Identify, assess, and manage clients at high risk by developing collaborative risk management and safety plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with legislation, policies, and CAPS guidelines
  • Deliver both in-person and telehealth services using digital platforms including Microsoft 365 and Zoom
  • Participate in clinical supervision, peer review, and professional development to maintain high-quality practice

Requirements

  • Full, current AHPRA psychologist registration or AASW mental health social worker accreditation
  • Relevant postgraduate training in a clinical field
  • Demonstrated experience in providing brief assessments and short-term counselling
  • Strong capability in risk assessment and managing complex mental health or developmental presentations
  • Proficiency with digital practice systems, including Microsoft 365 and electronic case management tools
  • Ability to maintain a valid Working with Children Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical or counselling endorsement
  • Proficiency in delivering counselling in languages other than English
