Locum Consultant Histopathologist

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on the diagnosis, staging, and prognosis of patients suffering from disease
• Report and interpret specimens submitted to the department in line with RCPath guidelines
• Work with clinical teams to provide comprehensive Histopathology services
• Advise on appropriate specimen collection and investigations
• Interpret reports and prepare policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Answer phone calls to and from clinical colleagues as required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Medical degree and valid medical license
• FRCPath or equivalent
• GMC registration or eligibility to join the register within 6 months
• Proven experience as a Histopathology Consultant
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in medical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
