Locum Acute Inpatient Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute adult inpatient cases
• Manage complex discharge planning and acute rehabilitation for patients with chronic diseases
• Manage neuro and respiratory conditions, including neuro assessments and treatment plans
• Handle acutely deteriorating patients, including tracheostomy management and cough assist devices
• Support respiratory management including acute Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient discharge

Requirements

• Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
• HCPC registration
• Significant acute adult inpatient physiotherapy experience
• Expertise in complex discharge planning and chronic disease rehabilitation
• Proficiency in neuro assessment and respiratory management (NIV, tracheostomy, cough assist)
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
