Locum Accuracy Checking Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring full compliance with legal, operational and safety standards
• Take ownership of the end-to-end dispensing process
• Maintain clear, accurate prescription records and escalate discrepancies
• Mentor junior colleagues to build a culture of accountability, safety and quality
• Stay updated on professional development, best practices and regulatory changes
• Work with pace and purpose alongside the wider pharmacy team

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualification
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
• Proven experience in a pharmacy setting with a track record in accuracy checking
• Deep working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies and SOPs
• Exceptional attention to detail
