Local Ready Mix Driver

Responsibilities

• Drive a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations
• Safely maneuver the truck in various ground conditions and job site environments
• Add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical admixtures, or colors at the plant or job site
• Manage the discharge process using chutes and ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained
• Communicate effectively with dispatch using two-way radios and signaling systems
• Maintain the cleanliness of the truck, including washing chutes and the vehicle body

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to pass a Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and physical
• Ability to lift 50lbs frequently and work in extreme temperatures
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Ability to maintain a driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations
