Local Purchasing Representative

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of supplier management for non-production materials at the Zaragoza plant, including negotiations and contract management
• Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services from internal and external suppliers
• Manage e-Procurement processes, maintain e-catalogs, and promote effective use of procurement tools
• Monitor and reduce maverick buying by ensuring compliance with established procurement processes and approval requirements
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and support ongoing projects to achieve procurement targets
• Collaborate with Shared Service Centre teams, spot buyers, and category managers to ensure efficient operations
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and plant management

Requirements

• High school diploma or university degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, ideally within a manufacturing or automotive environment
• Proficiency in SAP is required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Spanish language skills at C1 level
• English language skills at B2 level or higher
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure

• Experience with Power BI
