Local Media Affiliate Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Organize launch authorizations and perform blackout-related activity for MLB local club distribution, MLB Network, and NHL Network
• Project manage processes for feed distribution and blackout implementation on traditional and virtual platforms
• Establish and maintain relationships with production, engineering, and headend contacts
• Manage and coordinate technical distribution of Strike Zone
• Oversee planning, distribution, and reporting of VOD products
• Serve as primary affiliate liaison to external delivery and transmission vendors
• Prepare and manage affiliate blackout communications and retunes using SCTE and TVE tools
• Troubleshoot technical issues and blackout discrepancies

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in MVPD partnerships, sports media, or media operations
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Familiarity with MLB and NHL broadcast territories
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary
• Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed
