Local Market Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive regional business expansion and deepen market presence through insight-driven strategies
• Identify new business opportunities and underserved market segments within the dedicated region
• Lead development of annual local marketing plans aligned with national commercial priorities
• Execute integrated marketing campaigns across online and offline channels to build brand love
• Manage acquisition, activation, and retention of IKEA Family and Småles members
• Build partnerships with government bodies, NGOs, and local businesses to drive social impact
• Provide strategic communication counsel to the Store Management Team
• Support employer branding and internal communications to strengthen coworker engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management, or Retail Marketing
• Demonstrated experience in market development or campaign management
• Ability to be based at the Batu Kawan store location
• Willingness to participate in store shift schedules and duty manager responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience in a regional or multi-market marketing role
• Understanding of IKEA's store operations and brand concept
• In-depth knowledge of sustainability principles and ESG-driven marketing
