Local Delivery Driver (CDL A)

Responsibilities

• Deliver industrial gas products to customers via local routes, averaging 10-12 stops per day
• Manage freight, accurately count and record quantities of products delivered and picked up
• Complete hazardous material shipping paperwork in strict accordance with DOT regulations
• Conduct and report thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Identify and report needs for timely vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in English reading and writing
• Valid Class A CDL
• 2 years of consecutive driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification
• Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Clean driving record with no preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past 2 years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years
