About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and grow multiple client accounts within an assigned geography, balancing strategic business development with tactical operational retention.
  • Lead customer-facing relationships, identifying new business opportunities and mitigating risks for existing clients.
  • Drive operational excellence through the creation and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the management of Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs/QBRs).
  • Act as a high-level escalation point for operational and financial issues after local branch teams have exhausted standard procedures.
  • Develop and execute unique strategic development plans and continuous improvement projects for each assigned client.
  • Collaborate with National, Regional, and Global Account Managers to ensure alignment on account strategy, tender processes, and implementation.
  • Maintain account profiles and meet KPIs, including conducting a minimum of eight customer meetings per month.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of successful sales, account management, or operations experience within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of the transportation industry, logistics, and freight forwarding processes.
  • Proven experience with CRM systems and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet strict deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a global team.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree.
  • Demonstrated success in applying sales techniques within a logistics environment.
