Loan Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties including typing correspondence, maintaining electronic files, and greeting customers
• Gather and enter customer financial information into systems for loan document generation and account monitoring
• Perform due diligence investigations including public records searches, credit bureau reports, and income verification
• Review customer loan documents for accuracy and facilitate closings
• Comply with closing requirements and disburse loans as authorized
• Support customer money movement including processing stop payments and draft orders
• Respond to customer inquiries and process transactions such as disbursements and internal transfers
• Maintain accurate databases and monitor follow-up requirements
• Handle customer information with high confidentiality and follow security protocols
• Participate in community events, farm visits, and public relation activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail with knowledge of spelling, grammar, and sentence structure
• Exceptional customer service orientation
• Ability to work efficiently across multiple software programs
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in general office skills
• Experience in commercial lending, banking, or a related field
• Knowledge of applicable credit laws and regulations
• Knowledge of agricultural practices
• Knowledge of credit investigation and verification practices
• Knowledge of platting and legal descriptions
• Knowledge of accounting principles and processes
