Loan Processing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications received via internet and phone channels to ensure compliance with Consumer Lending policies.
• Build and deepen member relationships by identifying opportunities for additional credit union products and services.
• Analyze and validate supporting documentation to prevent fraud and ensure quality control.
• Interpret loan approvals and conditions to verify all requirements have been met.
• Proactively monitor loan queues and service requests to ensure timely responsiveness.
• Partner with management and other business units to support strategic plans and new campaigns.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Consumer Lending Policies, Procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in loan processing, related loan work, or customer service/clerical roles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret credit reports.
• Mathematical proficiency, including rate, ratio, and percentage calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse groups.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Vacaville, CA, or the specific counties served by the credit union.
