About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of student accounts receivable and oversee the collections process.
  • Monitor overdue balances, send collection notices, and prepare accounts for placement with collection agencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for collection agencies while ensuring compliance with FDCPA, FERPA, and institutional policies.
  • Administer the College’s institutional loan program, including documentation, reporting to third-party servicers, and reconciling monthly payments.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to students and families via phone and email, acting as an escalation point for complex inquiries.
  • Manage annual IRS Form 1098-T production and respond to related inquiries.
  • Process tuition payments including checks, wires, and other payment methods.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting or a related field with 4 years of related experience, or a BA in Accounting or a related field with 6 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Higher Education.
  • Experience using Workday.
  • Knowledge of the Fair Debt Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
