About the role

Responsibilities

  • Accurately manage and process all loan-related transactions, including funding, payment processing, draws, and disbursements.
  • Review funding documentation from the Closing team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the Closing team to reconcile payments and disbursements within the Loan Accounting System (LAS).
  • Validate loan proceeds distribution and ensure initial transactions align with expected loan balances.
  • Perform accurate reconciliation of Demand Deposit Accounts (DDAs) associated with partners.
  • Maintain detailed records for audit and compliance purposes in adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in loan accounting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in loan or general accounting.
  • 1+ years of experience in creating and documenting processes and procedures.
  • Experience in payment processing (e.g., leasing, syndications, mortgages, or related financial services).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for onsite meetings.
  • Ability to work full-time with flexibility for 8-hour shifts and occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with loan management systems (LAS).
  • Familiarity with commercial and consumer loan operations.
  • Basic knowledge of documentation and procedures to secure and perfect bank collateral.
  • Understanding of commercial and consumer lending regulatory and compliance components.
