Loan Accountant

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal stakeholders and external commercial banks or Farm Credit entities
• Provide operational expertise on structuring loans within the accounting system
• Review loan documents and credit agreements for accuracy and consistency
• Reconcile daily loan to general ledger outages and clearing accounts
• Perform daily and monthly report monitoring to ensure data accuracy
• Prepare detailed work papers to support reconciliations
• Train teammates on updated processes and internal control documentation
• Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects

Requirements

• One or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar office role
• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles
• General understanding of credit-related laws and regulations
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, loan accounting, and general ledger systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
