Loads & Dynamics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses and simulations to compute aircraft design loads for new design studies and continued airworthiness
• Utilize a wide range of commercial and in-house tools, including six-degree of freedom aircraft simulators
• Prepare and maintain finite element models (FEM) for loads analysis
• Perform Verification and Validation of analysis results using engineering judgment
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines including Flight Characteristics, Structures, Mass Properties, Systems, and Flight Test
• Support aircraft landing gear development, analysis, and testing
• Support flight testing activities and post-process resulting data
• Document all analyses and findings in engineering certification reports and presentations

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 8 years of experience in external loads analyses within the aerospace industry
• Strong understanding of FAR 25 certification requirements
• Extensive background in static and dynamic aeroelastic loads analyses
• Proficiency in developing FEM models and computing airframe or component design loads
• Experience using Nastran for Dynamic/Aeroelastic analysis (DMAP is an asset)
• Deep understanding of FEM, unsteady aerodynamics, and frequency-based data analysis
• Advanced programming skills in Matlab, Python, Fortran, C/C++, and Linux/Windows scripting
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
