Loading Dock Security

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and vehicles to maintain premises security.
• Keep detailed records and reports of daily activities and authorized personnel.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
• Document irregularities such as property damage, theft, or unauthorized persons.
• Patrol the premises to ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Uphold back-of-house security protocols and warn individuals of rule infractions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-10 hours).
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs+ using proper lifting techniques.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain full attention on post without electronic distractions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud, and outdoor environment, including inclement weather.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Security or Law Enforcement.
• Strong working knowledge of security operations and safety practices in a business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
