Loader

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and trailers with 100% accuracy and safety
• Scan all products loaded into trucks
• Load windows, glass, and doors from the production floor to designated trailers by hand
• Manage paperwork including manifests, counting freight, and recording shipment exceptions
• Use tools such as hand trucks, dock carts, dock plates, and banding devices
• Maintain and clean the dock work area and trailer interiors
• Communicate discrepancies in manifests or trailer load status to supervisors

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in loading preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and communication
• Physical ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, grasp, stand, and walk

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a window manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of glass handling
• Experience moving trailers
